Rubbish at drawing? Let Google AutoDraw do it for you.
Drawing things is hard. Drawing things with a computer is even harder. Until now.
Google’s latest AI project is AutoDraw. The idea is simple. You draw something on the screen with the mouse (or a pen on a touch device), and AutoDraw cleverly interprets your crappy scribble then suggests something much better. Check out the promo video:
We took it for a spin just now and it’s quite good. Here’s our masterpiece:

As with all good AI, Google’s AutoDraw also suggests other things you might have wanted instead. It wouldn’t be the internet if it didn’t suggest a picture of a cat:
How much use it will to most people and how long it will last, being Google, is completely unknown, but we like it. It’s fun.
